You can send your charity’s information to any of the existing GiveCamps for consideration, but it’s really hard to effectively deliver result for you when you’re in a different city.

Where do you live? Perhaps we know some folks there that can help get one going!

Cheers!

Every Event manages that differently. The best thing to do is to decide as a leadership group, what types of charities you want to work with. For example - some events don't help any religious organizations, some only accept registered 501(c)3's. My thoughts have always been that the event should be serving local charities where we can make a significant impact to their program. If they are a large organization with a big IT budget, they'll prioritize lower on our scale than a 3 person company with no existing website, for example.

It's really up to you!

How did you come up with your 18 charities that you wanted to code for? What was your process?
